The formula for area of a regular polygon is:

Honors Geometry, extra credit time! Solve this problem and bring in the answer on Monday.

A model of the Pentagon needs a plastic tinted cover to represent glass. The distance between the vertices is half the distance from the center of the pentagon to a vertex. What is the area of the cover for the Pentagon? Bring the answer and the work to receive any credit.

Algebra ....

Here are some videos on solving systems of equations by graphing from YouTube:

The Week After Break Is Crazy!

In Honors Geometry, we are talking about trapezoids. We just finished proving that diagonals in an isosceles trapezoid are congruent.

In Algebra, we are talking about solving systems of equations, using money. Here is a video about solving a system of equations:

Test In One Week .. April 27, 2016!

In Algebra, we will be testing on Solving Systems of Equations. It is important to know how to use the graphing calculator to answer such a question. It is important to know the meaning/reasoning behind each step of solving a system of equations. You will not be tested on solving by substitution or elimination, only by graphing.

In Honors Geometry, we will be testing on Shapes, their characteristics, and their areas. Application problems are fair game.
