We are talking about Chapter 3: Parallel Lines and Transversals. Students will be applying Geogebra.org to assist them in learning the theorems and postulates in the chapter. Your vocabulary words will be listed in class for you to do a padlet on them.
We have already discussed parallel lines associated with theroems:
CAP - correspondong angle postulate (congruent)
CIA - consecutive interior angle (supplementary)
AIA - alternate interior angle (congruent)
AEA - alternate exterior angle (congruent)
PT - perpendicular theorem (congruent right angles)
There is a new project, which is due December 20, called Area Map. Using information from your local hangout or home, students will create a detailed map with a legend and landmarks of their area. Students will incorporate parallel lines and transversals within their project.
