6th Grade: Comparing Fractions !

In order to compare fractions, you must learn about equivalent fractions. Go to www.khanacademy.org and click on equivalent fractions under arithmetic and watch the video. It is a nice starter video in learning about comparing fractions.

Hi, Everyone in Geometry Class.
Can anyone solve the following problem? Give a clear explanation of the problem.

Triangle ABC is similar to triangle DEF. BY is the altitude of triangle ABC, and is 10 units long. EZ is the altitude of triangle DEF, and is 25 units long. Find DE, if DE is 5k + 10, and AB is 6.
