The vocabulary words for Algebra are:
Term Opposite Subtraction Integer Division Linear Equation
Linear Inequality Multiplication Addition
We put them in a padlet.
Tomorrow, we will cover Multiplication (and Division) with Linear Equations. YouTube it.
The vocabulary words for Geometry are:
Conclusion Conditional Contrapositive Counterexample Deductive Hypothesis
Inductive Inverse Law of Detachment Law of Syllogism Negation
We will put them in a padlet.
Geometry, we are converting statements into If/Then statements; we will locate the hypothesis and conclusion of each conditional statement. Each conditional statement can be expressed as the converse, inverse and contrapositive. YouTube it.

The Week Before Halloween, and All Through The Classroom ...
During the week of October 24 thru 28, our normal routine continues. CEC Journal 4 returns - SAT preparation.
In Algebra, we are beginning Chapter 3 - Solving Linear Equations. Here are some videos on what we will be covering:
In Geometry, we are retesting on Monday concerning Chapter 1. Starting Tuesday, we will start Logical Reasoning and the Comic Project - Chapter 2. We will not cover in-depth proof writing. Each student will need to bring in a comic by Wednesday.

HW in Geometry
There are many applications to AAP (Angle Addition Postulate). One is peripheral vision. Here is a video on peripheral vision:
I will be asking you questions in class. Think about how is this related to AAP.
Here is an image to think about. What is the value of angle AFB and CFD?
